About me
My name is Chantal Mills. I’m the Owner & Head Trainer of the Ottawa Canine School.
I live in Ottawa with my husband Matt, my son Dominik, our Great Dane Hemingway, our White Shepherd X Everest and our grey cat Ivan. Yup, the pets almost outnumber us!
I started my teaching (humans) career in 1994. In the last 15 years I have taught nearly every grade, from Kindergarten to the now defunct Grade 13. I’ve been a Guidance Counselor and was recently Vice-Principal of one of the biggest High Schools in Ottawa.
In a parallel universe, my passion for dogs kept growing to a point where I could no longer ignore it. I enrolled in a grueling program to train me to be a trainer, among other things. The Ottawa Canine School combines both passions: teaching and dogs.
